fr L’auteur du livre est l’historien Othmane Kaâk, tandis que l’étude des aspects artistiques a été rédigée par Salah El Mahdi.
Le livre relate la vie et l’œuvre d’El Wafi : son éducation, sa formation musicale, sa maîtrise des principales expressions musicales répandues au début du XXᵉ siècle en Tunisie, ainsi que sa relation avec le baron Rodolphe d’Erlanger, musicologue qui fit construire le palais « L’Étoile de Vénus » à Sidi Bou Saïd (banlieue nord de Tunis).
Il passe en revue le mouvement de collecte du patrimoine musical dans les pays du Maghreb et comprend une partie des compositions de Cheikh El Wafi (textes et partitions musicales).
Des reproductions de tableaux de l’artiste Zoubeïr Turki et des photos souvenirs d’artistes tunisiens et autres agrémentent le livre, qui est préfacé par Abdelkader Bousshaba, ancien président de l’association « La Rachidiya » de musique tunisienne.

en This book by Osman Alkaaak, with research and technical study by Saleh al-Mahdi, includes a biography of Sheikh Ahmed El Wafi, covering his upbringing, education, musical composition, and his knowledge of the most important musical expressions of his time. It also discusses his relationship with Baron Rodolphe d’Erlanger, a musicologist who built the palace "Star of Venus" in the suburb of Sidi Bou Saïd, north of Tunis.
The book reviews the movement to collect traditional musical heritage in the Maghreb countries.
In addition to the artistic production of Sheikh El Wafi (texts and musical scores), the book features several paintings by the artist Zoubeir Turki, as well as memorial photographs of musicians from Tunisia and abroad.
The introduction is written by Abdelkader Bousshaba, former president of the Rashidi Institute of Tunisian Music.

es Este libro de Osman Alkaaak, con investigación y estudio técnico a cargo de Saleh al-Mahdi, incluye una biografía de Sheikh Ahmed Wafi, abarcando su educación, formación, composición musical y su conocimiento de las expresiones musicales más importantes de su época, así como su relación con el Barón Rodolfo d’Erlanger, investigador musical que construyó el palacio "La Estrella de Venus" en el barrio de Sidi Bou Saïd, al norte de Túnez.
También incluye una revisión del movimiento de recopilación del patrimonio musical tradicional en los países del Magreb.
Además de la producción artística de Sheikh Wafi (textos y partituras musicales), el libro contiene varias pinturas del artista tunecino Zoubeir Turki y fotografías conmemorativas de músicos de Túnez y del extranjero.
La introducción fue escrita por Abdelkader Bousshaba, ex presidente del Instituto Rashidi de Música Tunecina.

ar ألف هذا الكتاب المؤرخ عثمان الكعاك، والتحقيق والدراسة الفنية قام بها صالح المهدي. ويتضمن السيرة الذاتية للشيخ أحمد الوافي، نشأته ودراسته وتكوينه الموسيقي، ومعرفته بأهم التعبيرات الموسيقية المتداولة في عصره، بالإضافة إلى علاقته بالبارون رودلف ديرلاجي، الباحث في الموسيقى الذي بنى قصر "النجمة الزهراء" بضاحية سيدي أبي سعيد شمال العاصمة تونس. كما يحتوي الكتاب على استعراض لحركة جمع التراث الموسيقي التقليدي في بلدان المغرب العربي.
ويشمل جانباً من الإنتاج الفني للشيخ الوافي (النصوص والتراقيم الموسيقية)، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة من الرسوم للفنان الزبير التركي وصور تذكارية لموسيقيين من تونس وخارجها.
ويصدر الكتاب بمقدمة لعبد القادر بوسحابة، الرئيس الأسبق للمعهد الرشيدي للموسيقى التونسية.
